Designers from the Footwear Research Center have won 6 of the most prestigious international awards in the categories of innovation, technology and design with their footwear called “Hi-tech Footwear Skin”.
The Hi-tech Footwear Skin product responds to the need for comfortable footwear for a middle-aged woman. The benefit of the product lies in the functional and aesthetic solution of high shoes. The upper flexibly responds to leg swelling. The functionality of the shoes is supported by the innovative construction of the sole, in which a vapor-permeable membrane is implemented.
The main designers are Zuzana Bahulová, Eva Klabalová and Juraj Šuška. The project mentor is prof. Petr Saha.
TIGDA
In April 2019, the TIGDA (Taiwan International Graphic Design Award) went to the Shoe Research Center in Zlín, which was won by MgA for this institution. Zuzana Bahulová, Ph.D., with her design of the logo and visual identity, who works as the head of the footwear design and construction department.
The collection of 3 posters was created in collaboration with Jarmila Roubínková, who represents the professional and technical part in the field of footwear. The posters, which are imaginary portraits, represent individual departments of the Footwear Research Center and were created from materials and tools that are used within its content.
This international award from the Taiwanese association only confirms the qualities of this newly established center.
