Commercialization and cooperation with practice is a primary activity of TTC. TTC’s activities are focused on comprehensive services in the field of intellectual property protection and commercialization of protectable results, as well as on the internal recording and commercialization of non-protectable results (know-how, functional samples, verified technologies); the TCC provides also consulting and information support for license negotiations and conclusions. TTC also supports the commercialization of R&D results by participating in the realization of transfer projects at the national and international level. In addition, TTC directly represents the university in matters of industrial rights before the Czech Industrial Property Office (ÚPV CR), the European Patent Office (EPO), the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

TTC has concluded a total of 56 License Agreements for TBU from 2010 to 31. 12. 2025, furthermore a total of 54 Technology Transfer Agreements from 2014 to 31. 12. 2024.  From 2016 to 2022, 28 proof-of-concept projects have been supported by TTC, with a total financial value of the projects representing amount 21,679,043 CZK.

In 2025, for TBU 5 Czech patents were granted, 2 EP patents, 1 US patent, all of them through TTC. Moreover, 11 Czech utility models and 5 Community industrial designs were registered for TBU.

In 2025, TTC filed in total 11 patent applications for TBU in Zlín, including: Czech patent applications, 1 European patent application, 1 US patent application and 1 PCT International patent application; furthermore Czech utility model applications, 1 Czech trademark and 5 EUIPO design applications.
