Footwear Research Centre Shines Again at the Science Fair
Tomas Bata University in Zlín (TBU) once again successfully presented itself at the largest science event in the Czech Republic – the Science Fair. Visitors to the PVA EXPO Letňany exhibition centre in Prague could get an up-close look at the innovative world of polymers and modern materials at the TBU booth. The main attraction of the exhibition was the university\'s Footwear Research Centre (FRC). The team of Zlín scientists and designers presented the latest trends in healthy, sustainable, and technologically advanced footwear. People could experience firsthand: Showcases of advanced materials for footwear production. Interactive demonstrations of how scientific research connects with design. Recycling and upcycling methods that return old materials back into the footwear cycle and beyond, saving the planet. With this year\'s participation, TBU once again confirmed that it ranks among the top institutions in connecting academic knowledge with practical industrial applications, and that science can be immensely fun for the general public.
