Malaysia and cooperation with the Centre for Polymer Systems

On October 20, 2023, a working meeting was held at the Polymer Systems Center with representatives of the Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Brno University of Technology, which was led and coordinated by prof. Ing. Michal Sedlačík, Ph.D. The meeting discussed the cooperation to date in the field of magnetorheological systems, i.e. systems that change their stiffness in a controlled manner in the presence of an external magnetic field, and the possibility of its further development in the form of publication, project and exchange activities. The outcome of the meeting was an agreement on a Memorandum of Cooperation between Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and Tomas Bata University in Zlín. In the next two months, a doctoral student from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia will also participate in research activities in the field of magnetorheological foams at the Polymer Systems Center.
