The Polymer Systems Center will offer educational programs for the public
30. June 2023The Science Center in Zlín will offer additional educational programs in the field of rubber and plastics technologies
Zlín, June 30, 2023 – From September 2023, the Polymer Systems Center (CPS) of the Tomáš Bata University (UTB) in Zlín will offer educational programs aimed at retraining and expanding knowledge in the field of materials processing.
Those interested will be able to choose from two programs. Processing of rubber compounds and Technologist/Technologist of plastics processing. Both programs were recently accredited by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports.
Educational programs will be offered to those interested from the beginning of the academic year 2023/2024. Their range varies from 150 to 300 hours, which consist of both lectures and practical laboratory exercises. The capacity of the program will be approximately 10 people. For the Processing of Rubber Compounds course, secondary education with matriculation exam (4 years) in relevant fields is required. For the Plastics Processing Technologist course, the condition is the same and medical fitness is also required.
“Increasing competences in areas that are key for our region logically follows on from our research and development activities. Open programs are suitable both for those interested from the general public and for the educational needs of employers. In the future, we plan to expand our offer with accredited lifelong education programs focused on chemical fields and the field of sustainable technologies,” said the director of the Polymer Systems Center, prof. Vladimír Sedlarík.
The educational programs will end with an exam that corresponds to the evaluation standard according to the national system of qualifications. As part of the Rubber Mixture Processing course, the participant will receive a requalification certificate. In the case of the Plastics Processing Technologist course, you will receive a certificate of participation in an accredited educational program.
