Whey-based hydrogels were presented at the National Agricultural Museum in Ostrava
12. October 2023On October 6, 2023, the popular Night of Scientists event took place across the country. In this year, the Centre of Polymer Systems of TBU also presented itself at the National Agricultural Museum in Ostrava, where scientist Silvie Duřpeková presented whey-based hydrogels and their potential for use in practice to the general public. Visitors had the opportunity to find out how waste whey can be used for the production of hydrogels and how these hydrogels can help in the fight against drought when growing plants not only in agriculture.
