Members of Management of the Bata Company Visited the CPS
23. June 2022On Wednesday 15 June 2022, the Centre of Polymer Systems was visited by representatives of the Bata company, with Tomas Bata’s great-grandson Charles Pignal among them. The visitors, accompanied by Professor Petr Sáha, made a tour of the building, including the technology equipment hall and the CPS laboratories. The members were, in particular, interested in shoes made from biodegradable material, to name one example of work done by CPS researchers.
“The feat of bringing so many high-end machines and equipment together under one roof is unbelievable. I have travelled the world but I have never seen anything like this before,” said Charles Pignal. The representatives of the Bata company were also informed about news from the Footwear Research Centre.
